Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS)

The Eau Claire Area School District is currently working to implement PBIS in the West Central part of the state with a coalition consisting of schools from the Altoona, Augusta, Chippewa FallsEleva-Strum, Fall Creek, Menomonie, Mondovi, Osseo-Fairchild School Districts.  This section of the District webpage houses PBIS related data from around the coalition districts as well as the Eau Claire Area School District.

ECASD Self Assessment Survey Results Compared

The results are in. The first year of data for the state is in based on the Self Assessment Survey (SAS). The chart shows all schools in the state that have been trained in Universal PBIS implementation and are implementing (as measured by growth on TIC and completion of SAS). The chart also shows the state average of schools implementing with fidelity as measured by a TIC score of 70+ or a BoQ score of 80+. The chart compares ECASD schools against both groups, those implementing and those implementing with fidelity.

Some things to consider. First, the data reflects all schools from the last year at the state level trained and implementing with no time limitation, so there are schools reflected with a year of work time and some with a few months. ECASD schools reflected in the average represent 11 trained and starting implementing since January, with 6 of those trained in April when the SAS was completed with little time to implement reflected.
The other thing to consider. Once a school reaches fidelity, statistics and study shows that they generally don’t regress, that the system changes remain.

Based on the amount of time the large numbers of our schools have been implementing, and those that are implementing with fidelity, there has been a tremendous amount of work done. There is a lot more to go, but the teams should be very proud of the efforts made in the last year.

CONGRATULATIONS TO TWO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

We have two elementary schools that have sustained high TIC scores and completed the Benchmarks of Quality Survey or BoQ.  These two buildings scored 80 and 92 in overall features.

Way to go!!!
