Each year in April the Board of Education accepts applications from high school sophomores and juniors to serve as the Student Representative to the Board of Education. A committee of the Board interviews selected students and a recommendation is made to the Board in May. The Student Representative's term is September 1 through May 31. The Student Representative does not have voting rights but plays a valuable role in keeping the Board abreast of the voice of students.
