Conduct at South Middle School Dance
South Middle School studenst are expcted to obey all school and dance rules and to conduct themselves as responsible young adults. The dance rules are as follow:

Students are to line up by door # 1, if they have purchased a ticket in advance

If a student needs to buy a ticket, he/she should go by door # 2

Students are to walk- not run- during the dance

Students are to remain in the gym, cafeteria or in the gym hallway during the dance.

No food or drink are allowed in the gym. All trash must be placed in the proper receptacles

Students should use the bathrooms by the attendance office

Students are to treat all teachers and parent chaperones courteously and follow the instructions they are given

Students are to stay in the building until they are ready to leave the dance. They may not leave and re-enter the building

Students may not go into their lockers during the dance

The dance starts at 2:50 and ends at 4:15 pm
Rules for Dancing:

Students are expected to dance upright. Students are not to dance down on the floor.

Students are not to crowd together. When standing or dancing in a group, students must leave enough space in between them, bodies should not be touching and an adult should be able to see into the center of the circle

No jumping into each other or into each others' shoulders

Students are to dance face -to-face or side-to-side. Students are not to dance front to back
-
During slow dances, there is to be visible space between dancers
Students who are in violation of these rules will receive one warning from a chaperone, teacher or admnistrator and may have to leave the dance, parents will be called to pick him/her up!
Students who refuse to follow these rules also put future dances in jeopardy!
