Welcome to South Middle School
No School Monday, February 20 and Tuesday, February 21
3rd Quarter Sports. Sports offered are Boys Swimming, Wrestling and Girls Basketball. Fees are due at this time.
Parent Teacher Conferences. Conferences will be help for all grade levels on a walk-in basis. Visit with your students teachers on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 3:30-7:00pm or Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 3:30-7:30pm.
Study Club meets in the Library weekdays from 2:50–3:50. Students from all grades are welcome. Students must sign in by 3:00 and must sign out when they leave the library. This is a quiet study time. Students may not come and go during the scheduled time so bring all the materials you will need, once you leave, you must leave the school or be supervised by a staff member – such as a teacher or your coach if you are in sports. If you plan to leave the library to work with a teacher, you must have a pass from that teacher ahead of time..
South Middle School Music Program. 5th grade students and parents: South Middle School 6th graders are required to take one music course. You may choose from the following music classes:
Orchestra Chorus Band Exploring Music
Band: Students who select “band” on their course selection card need to attend one of the beginner band meetings with their parent:

Students – you will be taking the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examinations next week, starting on Tuesday morning. Be sure you get good nights sleep and have breakfast each day so that you will be at your best for the exams. You will report to your Resource classes first period on Tuesday morning and be testing for the entire morning. Please be sure to bring several #2 pencils, a calculator and a book to read in case you finish your exams before the time allowed is over.
