The 3rd Annual Essentially Eau Claire Concert
It will be April 28 at 7 pm in the Memorial High School Auditorium. The concert will feature guest soloist saxophonist Tom Luer along with the MHS Jazz I, II, and III bands and combos, South and Delong Middle School Jazz Bands and UWEC's Jazz 1! Each year this concert raises money for the ECASD's middle school instrumental programs. Tickets are $10 in advance from Schmitt Music or Morgan Music or at the door the night of the concert and all profits will be distributed between the middle school programs.

Hoffy’s Skate America Night
Congratulations to Brady Anderson. He won a free night of roller skating for the entire school at Hoffy’s Skate America. It will be Thursday May 15 from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm. If you choose to use roller skates they will be free. There will be an extra charge to use their blades and scooters.

Great way to spend an evening! The MHS Improv teams (under the direction of Ms. Dernbach) will be opening for RATco at the Zorn Arena at UWEC on Friday, April 25th at 7:30pm. RATco is Random Acts of Theatre Company from Selma, Alabama. The group is devoted to creating after school arts opportunities for teenagers and promoting racial and cultural equity. Be sure to make this event part of your April 25th calendar! The cost is FREE (with a suggested $5.00 donation.)
UWEC Summer Boys Basketball Camps
The UW-Eau Claire Men’s Basketball Program will be offering a variety of basketball camps this summer for boys grades 3 and up. These camps offer the opportunity to have fun while learning the fundamentals of basketball from the Blugold coaching staff and players. Eau Claire Aquatic Club Summer Season Begins June 17
ECAC is a non-profit, parent-run competitive swim program which encourages swimmers to improve swimming strokes, stay in shape and have fun! Summer practices will run from 7 am-8:30 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from June 17 through July 31 at South Middle School. Participants must be 7 years old or older, must be able to swim the length of the pool without stopping and must have basic knowledge of the four competitive swimming strokes. Cost is $140 for the season and a minimum of 20 swimmers must be registered for the season to be held. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Chippewa River Adventure Camp is April 26
The UWEC Environmental Adventure Center is sponsoring a day-long Adventure Camp for students ages 8-16 at Round Hill near Durand. Participants will explore the natural world, get active outdoors and learn something new! Activities vary each year but past activities have included canoeing, kayaking, fishing, archery, map and compass, rifle range, outdoor cooking and a GPS treasure hunt. Each students will have the opportunity to participate in four activities. Cost is $40 per person and includes all instruction/equipment and a brick oven pizza lunch. Mobile Mexican Consulate Will Visit Eau Claire on May 17
The Mobile Mexican Consulate from St Paul, Minnesota, will visit Eau Claire on Saturday, May 17, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3214 Golf Rd, from 9:30 am-2:30 pm. The Consulate will issue passports and consular IDs and will also provide information on legal, educational and health services for Mexican citizens.
