Rob Reid Entertains Flynn Kindergarteners
|

Local author, librarian, and UW-EC faculty member, Rob Reid recently came to Flynn to get the Kindergartners excited about reading. He shared his typical humorous stories and songs, and it was evident that the kindergarten students really got caught up in the excitement of reading. Rob has written several children's books, professional magazine articles and professional books for teachers/librarians. He got everyone excited for reading and spring! Thanks Rappin' Rob!

Middle School Students Participate in Shakespeare Festival
|
|
Northstar Middle School students participated in the 9th annual Middle School Shakespeare Festival recently. They performed parts of Shakespeare's plays, taught each other about his life and language, and presented Elizabethan skits and music. DeLong and South students also participated.

Saturday, April 20th Longfellow celebrated its seventh annual 5K fun run/walk, the Jeanne Richie Memorial Puddle Jump. Over 1,500 participants registered for the event and the weather was beautiful! Thank you to all of our participants, volunteers and sponsors! See you next year!

Revised 2012-13 School Calendar
There are two inclement weather days built into the school calendar each year. So far during the 2012-13 school year, we have had to close school four times due to inclement weather. Consequently, the 2012-2013 school year has been extended to June 11, 2013. If the district has any additional inclement weather days, the days will be extended beyond June 11, 2013.
