This is my eighth year at Memorial High School and I am looking forward to another exciting and rewarding year! I love teaching and feel fortunate to have previous professional experience that gives me a unique perspective to bring to my classroom. Prior to entering the education profession, I worked as a wildlife biologist for a wildlife disease center in Georgia where I studied West Nile Virus. I completed my M.S. degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management at the University of Georgia and received my Biology teacher’s certification from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. As you might expect I am quite passionate about wildlife and conservation issues, so I try to weave them into my lessons whenever possible!
Aside from wildlife watching my hobbies include camping, canoeing/kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, traveling, reading, scrapbooking, gourmet cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
I live in Eau Claire with my husband, Josh, and my twin boys, Liam and Silas. We share our house with two cats, Asha and Elvis.
