North Orchestra
The North High School Orchestra is a class designed to prepare students for music beyond high school through performing, analyzing, and creating music. As a performing ensemble, we seek to foster school pride and enrich the musical life of our community through high quality performances and collaboration with other groups.

Required performances are marked with an *. Other performances may be used to fulfill Project Point requirements and to work towards earning a Letter.
Although students are not required to compete at the District Level Solo/Ensemble Festival, all students are required to learn a solo or small ensemble piece during 3rd quarter. Students who do not perform at the Festival will perform their music for the class the following week at school.
Missed Required Performance
Each performance is a culminating experience for many weeks of hard work. Since we function as a team, the absence of even one person affects everyone. However, if a required concert or rehearsal must be missed, the points may be made up by completing the following:
1. Create a video of yourself performing the concert songs. You are welcome to use any format that Ms. Heuschele is able to play back. You may use a school camera before school if you arrange it ahead of time.
2. Watch the video and complete a written evaluation of your performance.
