Community Members & Organizations

Thank you for your interest in the Eau Claire Area School District to serve your building use needs.

The Eau Claire Area School District buildings and grounds are first and foremost for the education and enrichment of our students. Secondarily, they serve as a valuable community asset for educational, governmental, civic, cultural and recreational activities of the citizens of Eau Claire. The following procedures, instructions and fees are intended to best maintain the facilities for the students and community. The use of all school facilities will be at the discretion of the Eau Claire Area School District and the granting of permission to use school property shall not be construed as an endorsement of any individual or group by the Eau Claire Area School District.

Please read and review the following documents to request rental of the facilities of the Eau Claire Area School District.

All community, non-school district activity/event requests for building and site use will be handled through the ECASD Service Center at 623 N Hastings Way (next to U-Haul)

May 1,2013	City Parks & Rec Activities for STUDENTS & ADULTS
June 3, 2013	Other Groups with Activities for STUDENTS (Scouts, YMCA, Traveling Teams)
July 15, 2013	All Other Groups with Activities for ADULTS

HOW TO VIEW AVAILABILITY:

Please research the availability of ECASD space availability before completing the Building Use Form.

To search for space availability, Click here and follow the steps provided to view each school location.

After you have determined what is available, please complete a “Building Use Application Form.” You will need to work with Julie in Buildings & Grounds to finalize all the paperwork before use can be confirmed. Please allow adequate lead time to process all the paperwork.

2013-14 School District Visual Calendar
This is a visual calendar of the next school year that can be downloaded and referenced when selecting your dates for facility use.

CANCELLATION & NO-SHOW FEES:

Users shall notify the Building & Grounds Department of any cancellation of an approved use at least 3 business days in advance. A $25 cancellation fee will be assessed for each date that is not cancelled 3 business days in advance.

No-Show fees will also be assessed at $25.

GYMNASIUMS:

Elementary gyms are available to rent until 8:30 pm. Most Elementary Schools offer 1 gym. The following schools offer two gyms: Lakeshore, Longfellow, Putnam, Robbins, & Sherman. Roosevelt Elementary closes at 6:30 pm each day and does not rent out their gym.

Gym Use Expectations

Middle School gyms are available to rent until 9:30 pm. DeLong Middle School and Northstar Middle School offer two gyms and South Middle School offers three gyms.

High School gyms are seldom rented out due to the heavy nature of use by the individual school sports using the space.

POOLS:

ECASD offers (5) full size pools:

Memorial High School, North High School, DeLong Middle School, Northstar Middle School & South Middle School.

AUDITORIUMS:

North High School - capacity 1,000

Memorial High School - capacity 1,475

DeLong Middle School - capacity 575

South Middle School - capacity 458

Northstar Middle School (open air cafetorium) - capacity 575

Memorial High Little Theater - capacity 225
